Red coral crab

The Red Coral Crab (Trapezia cymodoce), and related species in the Trapeziidae family, are small (up to 1.5-2.5 cm), often bright red or orange crustaceans that live symbiotically within branching Pocillopora and Acropora corals in Indo-Pacific reefs. They are popular, peaceful reef-safe cleaners that defend their host coral from predators like the crown-of-thorns starfish.
